I have personally used every one of these with my family or with my Kids Yoga students.
These are all items I have found to support the emotional well being of children and families.
These are not randomly selected, but an intentionally curated collection of ways to support your child and family.

Wemberly has her doll Petal, you may have a favorite lovey or blanket that helps you when you're worried. We also talk about how Wemberly has Mom, Dad, and Grandma there supporting her. We can highlight to our children who they have that they can go to for support.

Maggie Smith just has a way with words. Her adult memoir You Could Make This Place Beautiful, is an inspiring story. In this children's book she shows how sometimes our thoughts can run away from us but with mindfulness we can guide them back to calm places. Great for bedtime!

Oh don't we all have BIG feelings sometimes! Instead of teaching to stuff down our big feelings this books shows us they are to be celebrated!

Try to get through this book with your kiddos with out laughing! "Are you so grumpy because all your favorite clothes are in the laundry so you had wear an outfit that looked goofy?" Totally relatable and hilarious validation for all the ways we can be grumpy!

Ever feel like you spent the day correcting your child? Well David feels it! Laugh at all the ways David gets into trouble and then remember Mommy still loves him with a big hug at the end. Always a favorite in Kids Yoga!

This book and the stunning illustrations, the more you look the more you notice, I have found inspiring for myself as an adult when faced with challenging times. A great reminder for kids of all ages.

Sometimes when were grumpy we don't want cheering up, we just need to be seen in our grump. Lucky for Jim his friend Norman does just that.

This book lets you choose for Danny. My kids love to make the "bad" choices too to see how the ending changes!

Not to leave out the girls, the Authors of What Should Danny Do? created another choose your own ending book for the girls!

These emotions stuffies and book are so awesome for teaching the nuances of feelings. Think of the movie "Inside Out." We love these in Kids Yoga!

We love Pete the Cat! This book is great for how we can take responsibility of our mood and outlook!

I can relate with sometimes feeling to much or to big or too small. This book gets all the feelings and introduces affirmations in an accessible way.
